Bing search on the XBOX 360. Part I

Bing is a search engine by Microsoft.  If you own or use Microsoft products, you will notice that Bing is all over the place; Internet Explorer’s default search engine, the MSN homepage, Windows Phone, and the XBOX 360.

As of today, Bing on the XBOX 360 doesn’t give you internet search results. Instead it gives entertainment results that are available on XBOX Live.  Bing gives you results for movies, television, music, games and apps.  As an example, I searched for “Walking Dead”.  On the first screen, before scrolling to the right, I am presented with two relevant results: The Walking Dead television series and a video game.  If I click on the television result, I will be presented with options to view it on Netflix, Zune Video, etc..

The XBOX is full of entertainment options.  Bing is an aggregator.  Use it to find what you’re looking for without having to open each app separately and avoid having a disjointed experience.
